[edit]The lead is good overall, try "was an African American Abolitionist", and cut out the "And" at the beginning of your last sentence as well. In your "Early life" section try "His mother, Elizabeth Riley, was a prominent abolitionist". The rest of the content, references, and page flow seem sufficient. I think that what you have on your page so far is great! My only concern would be that it is a little under the word count. I think the professor is giving a little slack on that requirement for students whose person was hard to research, so if there isn't very much out there about your person then you might be ok. Just to be careful though, maybe a few more sentences and footnoting one more source would be good. Beside that, it is well-written, descriptive, and I like how you talk about his background and upbringing as well as his impact in modern society with the real estate group being named after him. The links to other pages that relate to your subject is also helpful. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Samlay77 (talk • contribs) 23:17, 28 November 2018 (UTC)
Feedback from Prof. Smith: Hi Mohammed,
As your peer reviewers point out, you'll need to expand your article so that you make it up to the required word count. You have around 286 words and the minimum is 300. There seemed like some particular areas that you could bring in information about, especially his movement to Oregon, land claims, and land development. You could also say more about how racial discrimination negatively impacted his life and real estate dealings, as discussed in the Black Past article.
Also be sure to proofread carefully to eliminate errors (such as United States in the first line). Finally, be sure that you include all the necessary sections for the article. See Also and External Links sections are missing. — Preceding unsigned comment added by StaceySmithOSU (talk • contribs) 23:53, 30 November 2018 (UTC)
